Eternal Sonata – White Mirror
Part 1
Even at night, under peaceful skies, the restless ocean waves were heard lapping up against the shore. The waters were of curious nature, stealing each of the beach's uniquely shaped tan pebbles, yet returning them in perfect order as if under the surveillance of the moon's opalescent stare. Over and back, up and down, in and out, the ocean conducted nature's rhythm, gracing nearby surface-dwellers with its sleepy sounds. Accompanying the shore in perfect harmony was a girl's footsteps down the sand. Walking toward the water, she pushed her auburn hair behind her ear, feeling the gentle breeze brush against her pale features. She stopped before the shoreline, looking down at her legs. Slipping off her sandals, she allowed her feet to be bathed as the waves sloshed in. Shifting the sand under her feet until she found a comfortable position, she sat down and gazed over the horizon, waiting... waiting on a memory of that mysterious boy she had met at that very spot only a few years ago.

Part 2
Her hair fluttered in the ocean sea breeze.
I wonder where he is right now, she wondered, lacing her fingers around a golden heart-shaped locket hanging from her neck. She opened it and gazed into the eyes of a smiling blue-eyed boy. She looked fondly at his messy black hair, his sand-colored skin, his sharp features. Then, she smiled, too, and closed her eyes, recalling that faint memory.
“Help! I-I can't swim!”
The little girl frantically tried to keep her head afloat. She gasped as each cold wave splashed over her head again and again, indifferent to her cries for help. Her energy dwindled, and she breathed in one last gasp of air before she sunk, clinging to her life with all she had left....
“You're not very good at swimming, huh?”
She heard him, but could only see darkness.
“Hey, don't worry. I'm here. Just open your eyes. No need to struggle, you're not in the water anymore. Aye! Watch where you point that thing!”
She opened her eyes.
